The sunrise alarm was completely unnecessary
Normally, I don’t like getting up early on holidays. In Netarhat, that changed. It was surprisingly simple to leave my bed after witnessing the thrilling sunrise over the forest. As daylight slowly spread across the hills, the thick sal and pine forests emerged from the morning mist, birds began their chorus, and the cool mountain air made every deep breath feel refreshing. Long before breakfast was even served, I was outside sipping a cup of tea. It became my favourite part of every day.
My balcony became the best seat in town
I had anticipated spending most of my time exploring. Instead, I kept returning to the balcony. There was always something different to see. Morning mist was drifting between the trees. During the day, I visited some of Netarhat’s best-known attractions. The famous Magnolia Point lived up to its reputation, especially as the sun began to set over the valley. Nearby forest roads made even short drives feel picturesque, and Upper Ghaghri Falls provided a revitalising stroll through verdant surroundings.
The fact that I could return to a tranquil room surrounded by greenery rather than a bustling town centre after every excursion was what I valued most, though. The hotel became part of the experience rather than just the place where I slept.
Mornings in Netarhat moved at a different pace
When breakfast is finished, I usually can’t wait to get out of the hotel. Netarhat urged me to take the opposite action. For some reason, breakfast went on longer. Tea tasted better. Sitting outside was much more appealing than crossing another attraction off my itinerary because of the cool breeze.
I became aware that I wasn’t making an effort to be productive every minute. I was simply enjoying where I was. That felt like a rare luxury.
The nights in Netarhat were just as beautiful
Everything in Netarhat became wonderfully quiet as night fell. The night sky appeared much clearer than I was accustomed to in the absence of the bright lights of a big city. A cool breeze blew through the trees as I stood outside for a few minutes before going to bed, taking in the countless stars strewn across the sky. It was one of those moments that could not be fully captured by a photograph. Some experiences are simply meant to be lived.

Final thoughts
I anticipated thinking of Netarhat’s scenery, waterfalls, and serene forests before I went there. I certainly do. However, I also recall ending each day under a starry sky, waking up to mist rolling across the trees, lingering over morning tea with a view of the forest, and listening to birds rather than traffic
The right mountain stay didn’t just give me a comfortable place to sleep. It allowed me to experience Netarhat at its quietest and most beautiful—and that made every sunrise worth waking up for. And so, what I gather is that making a hotel booking online carefully can make your entire trip an elevated experience, especially when it’s about views and those ideal sunrises.
